Woman of the Hour is the directorial debut from Anna Kendrick. Based on real events that took place on a TV show, The Dating Game. In September of 1978 we would see a serial killer win over a contestant. Sheryl Bradshaw unknowingly picks serial killer Rodney Alcala to be her date.

Real life Cheryl Bradshaw would also pick Rodney Alcala but something told her not to go through with the date. This decision probably saved her life. Rodney Alcala would murder and rape at least 8 women but, it is said the number is much higher.
