An interview with Space Science Institute Senior Research Scientist Dr Padma Yanamandra-Fisher. Padma is a Planetary Scientist who worked on Voyager Projects and is very much involved these days in Citizen Science and ProAm Collaborations and we have worked together over the years on a number of Comet Observing Projects. Padma came from India and moved to the US as a Post Graduate student to obtain a PhD. Her family was fully supportive but it was not easy being a single female of colour working in science in those days. Hers is an amazing story of being the one female in the various collaborations and being accepted on the merit of her work. I hope her story inspires others as much as it has me.
