#women in business! Hey yal hey! The Black & Bankable Podcast is back at the top of this year serving as your policy plug to Washington, D.C.!
Check in with me on this episode to learn all about the National Women's Business Council (NWBC). I had the amazing opportunity to interview NWBC's Executive Director, Tene Dolphin and we talk all about how this federal advisory committee ensures more women #entrepreneurs have equitable access to the critical topics we care about the most!
Ever wonder how you can influence federal policy that affects your small business? It's a NWBC public meeting on February 8th (2023) that I need you to show up for! Let's put on our #advocacy crowns ladies!
Major thanks to Tene and NWBC for the opportunity to collaborate on our joint mission to serve and empower women in business! More to come to lock it in here and share with your business bestie.
Here's more information on the National Women's Business Center (NWBC).
The National Women’s Business Council (NWBC) is one of approximately 1,000 federal advisory committees across 50 federal government agencies. NWBC serves as an independent source of advice and policy recommendations to the President, Congress, and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator on issues of importance to women’s business enterprise. Housed within SBA, this fifteen-member all-women led volunteer Council is dedicated to ensuring more women entrepreneurs have equitable access to financing, entrepreneurial development opportunities, and contracting awards to help them grow, create generational wealth, and contribute to our national economy.
