Among some of the most misunderstood writings of the Apostle Paul, today's topic is one that has been used to keep women in bondage, hindering them from exercising their God given ministry. Not all churches are guilty of this, but a larger portion of them to this date refuse to acknowledge women who were called to positions of "leadership", citing a misunderstood text as justification for this theology. Many women have come to accept it as doctrine, not because they agree, but simply because the majority of the church agrees.
