Our next guest launched the #IChoose2BActive campaign which intends to encourage people to pursue active movement. The campaign responds to the mandate by the National Development Plans for 2030, which envisions at least 50% of South Africans participating in active citizenry activities intended to keep them physically active and healthy. Studies have shown that South Africa is experiencing a rising tide of non-communicable diseases which has affected ordinary citizens’ quality of life. Studies have also show that there was an increase in health-care expenses both at a personal level and at a country level.
