Hello guys, in this episode we will center on the phrase that Paul uses about women keeping silent in church. We will assess this passage from various translations and see to what extent the Mosaic law, and the pattern of husband and wife dynamics relate to it. The Mosaic law was directly referred to by Paul when he made that statement and the law relates to obedience and authority between husband and wife. We then see that if Paul's statement is more about husband and wife, it may have been misused in Christian circles throughout the ages, but that does not mean it ought to be. We finish by looking at how the phrase 'woman' in the new testament is 'gune' and relates to one's wife, and if that is the case - then there could be an authority between couples that should not be interfered with just by anyone even if they are Christian. Do we truly understand the apostle Paul's statement about women, and silence as we ought to and in Greek?
