We often hear about the prophet Elijah’s triumphant moments—his bold stand against the prophets of Baal, his prayers bringing rain after a prolonged drought.
But in 1 Kings 19, we find Elijah at a low point, fearing for his life because of a threat from Queen Jezebel. Despite all the ways God had shown up for him, Elijah loses his courage and flees into the wilderness.
