John Wooden was one of the greatest basketball coaches of all time.  The key to his success was a result of not only teaching his students how to be better basketball players. His focus was to teach them how to be better men.  
He was a tremendous leader and trainer of leaders.  He often claimed that the strength he had was a direct result of his relationship with Jesus Christ.
