Near the beginning of this edition you will hear an uncredited Jackson 5 quote from the Motown classic ABC (It was actually written by 'The Corporation') which serves as this week's mission impossible statement.   It is a giddy ride into the world of comic alphabets, including the lunatic's alphabet, the surrealist's alphabet and the cockney alphabet. 

Keep company with the likes of Jonathan Swift, Lewis Carroll, Eric Partridge and Ivor Novello. If those names don't mean much to you, they are well  worth meeting.  And, for thrill seekers,   I  dip into a couple of bawdy ABCs and, should you be in need of a cocktail, there's a taste of the Winebibbers Alphabet.
