Matt 7:24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of

Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who

built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended,

the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that

house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26 But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and

does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built

his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the

floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that

house; and it fell. And great was its fall."

● Message Bible - “These words I speak to you are

not incidental additions to your life, homeowner

improvements to your standard of living. They are

foundational words, words to build a life on. If you

work these words into your life, you are like a

smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock.

Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado

hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to

the rock.

Josh 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your

mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that

you may observe to do according to all that is written in

it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and

then you will have good success.

Jer 7:23 But this is what I commanded them, saying,

'Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be

My people. And walk in all the ways that I have

commanded you, that it may be well with you.' 24 Yet

they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the

counsels and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went

backward and not forward.

● I’m thankful we can follow a life they created by

being doers of the Word of God

● I’m thankful we can follow a family that has been

commissioned by God because Pastor Larry and

Sally are doers of the Word of God.

○ A family wholly committed to Him

■ Kids & grandkids

● I'm thankful we can be involved in a church that’s

been given an assignment to reach people in this

region, because a couple decided to be doers of

the Word of God.

Williston, Minot, Great Falls...

○ Dec 28, 1984 w/ $25 in their pocket

If we are going to move forward in our marriages

(Gen 2, Eph 5, 1 Peter 3), parenting (Prov 13, 22, & 29)

as employers, as employees...we are going to need

to be doing the Word.
