Episode 1: Belief Belief is one half of our information. The other half is knowledge. Belief is what we each accept without proof. Knowledge is what we can prove to each other with independent facts. Because no one knows everything, we depend on our belief systems to fill in the gaps of information. Science is the best belief system for better information because it requires the simplest belief - that the universe exists with constant properties, and the scientific method is the best way to discover them.
