Cohorted’s host, Ruby Norris, talks to Nicola Gunby about how and why she co-founded My Revolution, how she balances her life without getting burnt out, and how she plans for the business to become ‘the Uber of beauty’. 

Following a difficult year due to COVID, Nicola and her partner jumped in headfirst and capitalised on beauty professionals’ desire to move away from the salon by developing a revolutionary app that allows freelancers to be booked at the click of a button.  

Nicola’s belief in the business and incredible resilience has carried them through some difficult times, and she talks their move to London, dealing with near-constant rejection, and drawing inspiration from other female entrepreneurs.  

In 2022, Nicola and Jason, her partner, landed a global partnership that has allowed them to rebrand AMB Beauty into exactly what they dreamed it would be.
