Government says it is working closely with corporates to expand its workers ownership programme. Speaking to the media ahead of international Workers day celebrations, Minister of Trade and Industry Ibrahim Patel commended companies who have enabled employees to own shares in the company. Patel says over the past number of years government began prioritising empowerment schemes that provide their workers equity or shares in the company that they work for.
