Worker's pain for Telstra's gain

12 months ago, as Telstra's share price languished at seven-year lows, the telco announced drastic action slashing a quarter of its workforce.
Unions slammed it as the biggest job cuts since the collapse of Ansett and now a year on they're not satisfied with how Telstra's handled the cuts, while former workers say they weren't given a chance to re-train.
Despite that investors are cheering with Telstra shares rising more than 30 per cent this year.
