WorkGenius, a Hamburg, Germany-based provider of a technology solution for mid-size and enterprise companies to source, manage and pay freelancers, raised $7m in additional funding.

Backers included existing investors Axel Sven Springer, grand son of publisher Axel Springer, John Jahr, grand son of publisher John Jahr and Oliver Heine, member of Axel Springer’s advisory board.

The company, which has raised total funding to +$20M, intends to use the capital to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Marlon Rosenzweig and Daniel Barke, WorkGenius provides a technology solution for mid-size and enterprise companies to source, manage and pay freelancers.
