Interviewed by Liz, this episode is a very informative yet emotional episode. I tell part of my son's birth story, the traumatic part which in fact wasn't the actual emergency, but the aftermath. We emphasize that no matter how "minor" the trauma or how severe the trauma or when it happened, it is still relevant. We talk about ways to manage the triggers, how to cope, and finding a safe space to tell your story.
Guaranteed you haven't heard some of these tips! But Liz and I are rounding up some good ways to support your body through the summer months and little bits of nourishing wisdom that you can easily integrate your everyday life.
If you have any questions about some of the things we talk about, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Dr. Bernadette Paul really had some amazing and tangible take aways in this episode! We discuss food, nutrition, and nourishing your body as an expression of self-love and self-appreciation. Mothers and motherhood in all its depth deserves first and foremost to be cared for. This was a beautiful hour and very anchoring for us! We hope you love it and find time to leave a review!
Tom discusses the monumental difference it makes to include dad in all things birth and breastfeeding. We cover topics like how fathers involvement is rarely engaged yet always encourage and way to bridge the gap of making sure fathers are seen, heard, and understood. The ways educators can help talk to both mom and dad in each of their languages to promote fatherhood wellness, mental health, and a healthier family outcome.
I'm bias I guess, but thus weeks episode has the most special guest, my (Giana's) husband! We interview Joshua in a real and raw conversation about the reality checks, moments of clarity, and hitting bumps in the road in his journey becoming a father. He gets honest about speaking up and encouraging fathers do communicate about what they need in order to be well and support themselves and their growing families. Liz and I had a blast interviewing so make sure you leave a review for this episode we can't wait to hear what you think!!
