RECIPE: Fry Jack

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

4 oz milk (regular or almond)

4 cups vegetable oil

Recipe Directions

Sift flour and baking powder in a bowl. Slowly add milk to flour mixture and knead to form a dough . Cut dough into softball sizes. Place dough on countertop and use rolling pin to roll dough until round and flat. Cut dough in half and then into quarters. Cut slits to each quarter. Heat frying pan/skillet with oil and fry the dough on both sides until golden brown.

Tip- Pairs well with refried beans and cheese

Caution- If dough bubbles, carefully pop it with fork
