Like any other home search, with new construction, you want someone with you to look out for your best interests and guide you through the process. When you visit a new home site, you should sign in with the name of your agent in order to ensure that you'll be represented later on. Reps want to protect the builder’s money, not yours.Many people think hiring an agent in this process will cost them, but that’s not true. Builders know they’re going to pay agents to bring clients to them. Agents can often get you a better deal, or get bonuses or incentives worked into a deal.
