When you buy a new stool for your kitchen, you believe it is sturdy. You know it will support you. You trust that if you put your whole weight on it, it will not fail. But you aren't really placing your faith in that stool until you sit on the stool and lift your feet off the ground. The same is true about our faith in Jesus. There is a reality for many of us that we let the Word of God rest in our heads without allowing it to move to our hearts and through our hands.
