In this show, we're discussing world building in African American science fiction literature, as part of our Black History Month Series.  Dr. Bethany Jacobs is our guest host. Bethany Jacobs is a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Tech in the writing and communication program. She received her PhD in American Literature from the University of Oregon. She teaches and publishes African american women’s writing and science fiction and narratives of social protest. We're delving deep into how creating sci-fi worlds can aide in African Americans perception of the future.
