The gripping story of a ghostly handwriting on the king’s wall is God’s reminder of his sovereignty over us all.  Those who humble themselves will be exalted, but those who exalt themselves will be humbled. Although God has shown grace to Nebuchadnezzar multiple times through his reign, Nebuchadnezzar continued to fall back in older pride-filled patterns. Finally, his time of grace came to an end. His example be a sobering lesson for us all.
