Player housing, a feature that World of Warcraft players have been requesting for nearly 20 years, has been officially confirmed to be included in the game's upcoming expansion, World of Warcraft: Midnight. This expansion is part of 'The Worldsoul Saga' and is scheduled for a full reveal in late summer of 2025, with the expansion itself expected to launch in the summer of 2025.
The player housing feature will allow players to buy and customize their own in-game houses, decorating them with furniture, trophies, and other items collected during their adventures. Although specific details on how the housing system will work are still scarce, a teaser trailer showed a decorated chamber with iconic items, hinting at extensive customization options.
This announcement was made during the Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct, where Blizzard also revealed other upcoming content updates, including a Goblin-themed patch for The War Within expansion and updates for World of Warcraft: Classic.
The Midnight expansion will be the second part of The Worldsoul Saga, following The War Within and preceding The Last Titan. The formal reveal of Midnight, which will include more details about the player housing system, is anticipated for late summer 2025[1][2][3].
