In Part III of Chapter 12, Rob and Chris learn about Medieval Christianity. There is a divide between the western and eastern Christians that mostly happened because of food. In the west, the development of the papacy leads to some shady dealings between the church and it’s clergy. Facing some hardships in Rome, the Catholic Church takes a short holiday to France where they definitely had lots of weird, kinky sex. At one point the church had 3 Popes, which wasn’t awkward at all. After years of being mobbed up, the people finally revolt against the Church in what’s known as the Protestant Reformation.
