Songs have the power to alter our thoughts and moods.  The Psalms as the hymnal of the Bible are valuable in shaping our world view.  They call us to magnify the Lord - not make him bigger than he is but to see a bit more of how awesome he is.  Psalm 100 is a call to worship teh Lord and includes many reason for us to worship him.
