Mentoring is a big part of what we do here at Awaken Generation, but it's not a new concept in the Church. A big part of discipleship is walking with one another, bringing encouragement and loving correction so that we can walk in our God-given freedom as sons and daughters. On this episode, Alarice and Calvin share stories about their mentors, and give good suggestions on how to approach someone we want to mentor us.

Alarice shares about the purity of heart in worship and the need to walk in our inheritance as a priesthood. Together with Calvin, we discuss how we can walk in the heart of worship, and answer great student questions like: "What if my church sees worship only as the appetiser to the service?"

How do I live out the role of a royal priesthood in the secular? What happens when the priesthood sins? These are two of the questions from students we received about 1 Peter 2:9, and so on this episode, we address these questions. As our school theme for 2023, we embark on discovering the role of the priesthood, and step into this calling God has given all believers.

WHO AM I to even be called a 'royal priesthood'? The title of 'priesthood' can be intimidating, and sometimes we may not feel worthy of this 'title'. As we start this new season, Calvin expounds on 1 Peter 2. Everything hinges on the work of Jesus on the cross, the Great High Priest. And as a people, chosen and royal, we can be carriers of God's presence everywhere we are called to be.

The word 'priest' carries such weight and intensity, but what does it really mean? Why are we called to be 'a royal priesthood'?
