The temple was a place where the Israelites could worship through sacrifice, where the presence of God dwelled with His people as fire. Ezekiel writes about God's presence leaving the temple (Ezekiel 10), and the Babylonians destroyed the temple. Exiled, the Israelites built synagogues to retain culture and the reading of the Torah.

The Lord's desire has always been to have a covenant relationship with His people. But other things often get in the way of this. We see this in the storyline of Israel. Drawing lessons from the story where the people of God come to Mount Sinai (Exodus 19), Calvin Hong shares about how impatience and a wrong fear became stumbling blocks to their call to be 'a kingdom of priests and a holy nation', all of them with a call to worship and minister to the Lord.

6 people from 6 different churches with 6 different favourite drinks gather to talk about unity. The word 'unity' is often spoken about, the imagery of being one body one Church quoted. But is it more than a buzzword? What does it really mean? On this episode, Calvin together with Charissa, Faith, Si Yuan & Wei Yew chat about personal perspectives on unity and experiences from being classmates with believers from different churches in AG. We celebrate the different strengths of our churches, and Calvin exhorts us to embrace the beauty of unity and to use the gifting God has given us to be a blessing to the Body.

In this episode, Calvin highlights three important things about the Kingdom of God and how we should live presently as citizens of this kingdom. From the book of Matthew, Calvin exhorts us to live under the loving rulership of our King Jesus, and there is blessing and favour which overflows from Him. Finally, Calvin explains what the 'Good News of the Kingdom' is, the example that Jesus set for us during His ministry, and how we can sow and multiply the work of the Lord and bring His Kingdom to the ends of the earth.
