If you've accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal savior, when you pass from this life, you'll go to be with Jesus in heaven forever. You haven't earned this gift because of good deeds or lack of bad decisions. This gift of eternity with God is given on the basis of Christ's imputed righteousness to you. In Heaven, there will be no more pain, no more crying, only peace, and contentment. There we will sing the praises of God forevermore.
