Jesus came and explained that the old, traditional system of worship was going to be superseded by a new way of connecting with God in worship. God created you body, soul, and spirit. Those who desire to really experience God in worship must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Worshiping God in spirit begins with God transforming your heart through the power of the Holy Spirit, and you experience a new life in Christ, known as being born-again. We also worship in truth because Jesus is truth revealed in the flesh. In an age with deceptive man-made teachings and philosophies Christians must hold onto and worship in spirit and in truth.
