Working with a dyslexic builder is brilliant! - I have no problems at all working with someone who is dyslexic, especially when it comes to being creative or making something! Our builder and I could stand outside and talk about what we could “see” in our imagination and how the new deck was going to look. The ideas and communication were so much easier because we both talked about the visual picture we could see. Being able to accept your dyslexic strengths and weaknesses was the key, I didn’t expect his written communication to be amazing, or the fact that his Mum did his invoicing was fine with me - because his real talent was in creating something that wasn’t there.
