If you're from the Cincinnati or Dayton area, you may recall 97X. It was one of the first modern rock stations in the country, launching in 1983. Between 1989 and 2009 (except 2004), the station would count down the Top 500 Modern Rock Songs of All-Time (according to their staff) on Memorial Day weekend. This week on RITY, we pay tribute to the old 97X, by playing the Top 25 songs from their final countdown in 2009. 97X went out of business in 2010.
