One of the most unusual descriptions in the Bible is when Jacob ‘wrestles’ with God.  As we grow in our understanding with prayer, wrestling with God becomes not only a metaphor but a reality as we can battle ourselves, dark spiritual forces, and tenaciously learn to pray with persistence - to see God’s kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven or to say ‘your grace is sufficient for me’.
