Many of us come to church and get around Christian community looking the part. All of the externals say that we really want to grow in the faith, mature in Christ, and walk in line with the gospel. But we often find ourselves unwilling to break the sweat that results in this spiritual growth and maturity. This is where God, in his wisdom, brings the struggle to us. He is committed to growing us along the journey. What we see in Scripture and life is that God’s regimen is often comprised of difficulty, affliction, pain and struggle. We would not voluntarily introduce these things into our own lives. We would go on a string of uninterrupted victories, comforts, and accomplishments. But in this text, we see the extent to which God is willing to go in order to save us and change us. Listen in as we consider a Great Struggle & a Great Salvation.
