Wrestling with Heartache: How God uses tough moments to draw us closer to Him | Ep. 012

Listen Later

In this episode of Stories of His Glory, Ryne and Evan interview Scott Knowlen. Scott is a long time wrestling coach at Bismarck High School, a member of the National High School Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame, and an Area-Representative for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in Bismarck-Central North Dakota.

In this episode, Scott shares the amazing story of how God used moments of pain and heartache to ultimately draw Scott closer to Him.

Faced the choice of chasing after the comforts the world provides or leaning into a relationship with the loving God who is chasing after us, Scott lays out the decision he made that changed his life forever.

Verse of the Day:

"In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed." - 1 Peter 1:6-7
