He got his start as a member of the grime crew Combination Chain Gang as well as The Movement, featuring MC's like Scorcher and Ghetts.

His mother gave him the nickname "Wretch," which means "skinny" in her native country of Jamaica.

His birth name is Jermaine Scott Sinclair. He has children named Kyrayn and Skye-Laurell with his ex-girlfriend Ashlee.

His 2012 mixtape Wretchercise features collaborations with artists like grime rapper Kano.
