Episode 194 brings Australian author, Eliza Henry-Jones telling us about her new folklore-infused family drama Salt and Skin. We talked about knowing your characters, writing as an escape, keeping joy central to your process and tons of other fascinating stuff.

Eliza is an author based on a little flower farm in the Yarra Valley of Victoria, Australia. She is the author of In the Quiet(2015), Ache(2017) and the young adult novels P is for Pearl(2018) and How to Grow a Family Tree(2020). She has won loads of awards and been shortlisted for her books and her short fiction, nonfiction and features have been widely published across magazines, newspapers and journals. Her latest novel, Salt and Skin is out everywhere from July 6th.
