Have you ever looked back over your life and realized that God was writing a story far greater than you could have imagined?
In this episode of the Anchored by the Sword Podcast, I sit down with Tamara Hester Battaglia, author and curator of the beautiful devotional Written in Heaven: His Story, Our Lives. Together, we talk about trusting God's timing, finding peace in seasons of uncertainty, and learning to see His fingerprints all throughout our lives.
Tamara shares her incredible personal journey—from walking through divorce after 24 years of marriage, navigating 17 years of singleness, discovering an unexpected ministry as a flight attendant, and eventually finding love again through God's unmistakable orchestration.
One of my favorite parts of our conversation is hearing how God slowly transformed Tamara from someone who needed every detail planned into someone who could wake up each day and simply ask, "Lord, where are You taking me today?" It's a beautiful reminder that while we love our planners (yes...I definitely relate!), God is the One directing every step.
In this episode we discuss:
Tamara also shares the Scripture that keeps her anchored—Proverbs 3:5-6—reminding us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts instead of leaning on our own understanding.
One of the biggest takeaways from this conversation is this: our stories matter because they point people to God's faithfulness. When we take time to remember what He's done, we begin to see that He has been working behind the scenes all along.
If you've been struggling to trust God's timing, wondering why life hasn't gone according to your plans, or simply need the reminder that He is still writing your story, I pray this conversation encourages your heart.
Stay anchored in His promises, trust the Author of your story, and remember—your life is never random.
