What is a decree? It is the plan and purpose the an authority speaks into effect. The centurion who came to Jesus for the healing of his servant understood this. He reasoned that just as he could speak things into being as a military officer by commanding those under his authority, so Jesus could command healing! God's decrees are like the decree of a king, only much greater and encompassing.
