G'day and God bless fellow Withstanders,
While the secular world focuses on their own version of joy and many are placing their trust in governments, brands and individuals (and we all know where that’s all heading...), I’ve noticed a significant increase in the number of godly, awake and courageous Pastors and Christian leaders who are imploring all of us who strive to be godly, are definitely awake and trying to be more courageous to immerse ourselves in God’s word in these last days. We’re called to test all things – including their sermons and musings – against scripture. We’re strongly encouraged to spend less time focussed on transforming our wardrobes, our homes; even our faces and spend more time being transformed by God’s living Word. It’s a call-to-arms to dwell more and more in the Word, rather than cling to the things of this world.
I am guilty as charged here!! I’m a female living in this world who desperately wants to care less and less about the clothes I wear, the make-up I put on my face, even the colour palette for my home. It takes up way too much real estate, but I tell myself that it’s a nice break from the intensity of current events; both in my family and across the world. But I struggle most days with this and if you’re doing the same, I can completely relate. I pray that the reflection at this end of this podcast will help both of us 😊
Today, as always, we’ll take a look at some of the most recent headlines, pay tribute to sports journalist Sam Landsberger, reflect on the transformative power of God’s Word and I’ll tell you about the celebrity post that triggered the theme for today’s podcast. That’s all coming up on today’s Withstand Daily Podcast.
