WWE announces PPE kit match to promote COVID19 awareness

Listen Later

It is rumoured that WWE owner, CEO and Chairman the legendary Vince McMahon has announced that they will be conducting a Divas match to raise funds and awareness for the COVID19 situation around the world. The main beneficiaries for the event will be the Indian subcontinent who form one of the biggest audience for the network outside the USA.
Divas matches have always attracted major crowds and were a smash hit among the fans. The matches were popularised by the initial mega superstars Stacy Kiebler, Victoria, Sable, Trish Stratus, Lita and Torrie Wilson. Any 90s boy would testify that he would have had a crush on one of these beauties at some point in his life.
Diva matches have always been more about the glitz, glamour and spectacle in the early days, unlike today where all the female athletes can give the male superstars a serious run for their money with their athleticism and ring presence. Current stars like Beth Pheonix, Kelly Kelly, Layla and Eve Torres have not only kept the audience attention with their looks but also shown that they are equally at ease in the ring executing complicated moves to entertain the audience.
The Divas had their share of matches which did nothing more than titillate the male viewership. Some of the more memorable ones were

Bra and Panties match – The first diva to be stripped down to her bra and panties loses
Pillow Fight – Regular match wearing pyjamas and pillows as props
Spanking match – You guessed it
Mud match – Match in a pool of mud
Topless rope match – Diva strips a piece of clothing every time the male partner gets thrown off the top rope
Fulfil your Fantasy Match – You get to decide what the Divas will be wearing in the match

Our sources at the newly opened headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut have let us know that the planning for this match has been in motion for the past week or so. The finer details like the location, financial aspects and the participants are yet to be decided. It is also claimed that the match would be conducted at the earliest considering the high number of COVID19 cases in India.
