For WWE's final pay-per-view of the last millennium the company served up a main event which saw Triple H face Vince McMahon in a match where if Vince McMahon won Triple H's marriage to Stephanie would be annulled but if Triple H won, not only would the marriage stand, but also Triple H would receive a future WWE Title shot. Underneath, Chyna and Chris Jericho battled over the Intercontinental Title, The Rock N Sock Connection challenged the New Age Outlaws for the tag team straps and Kane and X-Pac fought one another in a steel cage.
