On this episode of What Happened When, the voice of our childhood Tony Schiavone and host Conrad Thompson take us back to 1996 for some exciting WWF Superstars action! Tony watches for the very first time the launch of one of the most controversial storylines in WWF television. During an in-ring interview in the venomous Stone Cold Steve Austin attacks former friend and WCW tag partner Brian Pillman. NOTE: Our beloved Tony Noah Schiavone is being inducted into the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, and will receive the 2024 Gordon Solie Award. The award honors those in the business of professional wrestling that has done extraordinary work behind the microphone. We are so proud of Tony and this accomplishment and hope everyone joins us next year at the ceremony to celebrate the voice of our childhood.
