<p>Philip Adair is a WWII fighter Ace as well as the recipient of the Silver Star, Legion of Merit and Distinguished Flying Cross.  He took on 64 Japaneses aircraft by himself in his P-40 Warhawk on 13 December 1943 as a member of the Burma Banshees.  </p>
