On the very first episode of the show after Nick's dire meeting with a viral infection over the the new year, he brings up the cringefest that is Mariah Carey's New Year's Eve performance while Emma finds herself at the end of a barrel of a very sexy question and, in turn, invites the advice of good friends of the show, Liz and Jason. 

Also Emma receives one of the the mightiest burns in her life.
