The latest Xbox news is that Microsoft is unhappy with the state of things which brought Hi-Fi Rush back into the limelight. In a recent episode of Jeff Grubb's Game Mess he made comments that many took to mean Hi Fi Rush flopped despite its apparent success.
Jeff Grubb has since explained his comments further in the wake of Aaron Greenburg responding publicly on Twitter. I think the larger discussion to have is about Xbox Series X sales as well as the growing skepticism about Xbox Game Pass games and their success. Especially in light of Phil Spencer saying in previous interviews that Game Pass increases sales.
Hi-Fi Rush is a rhythm-based action game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks for the Windows and Xbox Series X/S platforms. It was announced on January 25, 2023 and released worldwide the same day.
