Interview with Andy Dearing is a geospatial entrepreneur, where he is currently serving as President of Spatial STL Advisors, a consulting business specializing in geospatial and technical services and startups in the region. He also serves as the GeoFutures Initiative Project Lead, working with civic, government, commercial, and educational leaders to build the strategic geospatial industry economic cluster plan.   Prior to his current business, he was the CEO of Boundless Spatial, Inc., an open source geospatial software startup based in St. Louis that was acquired by Planet Labs, Inc. in 2019. Andy serves an advisor at Saint Louis University’s GeoSLU Institute,  Co-Chair for the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s St. Louis Area Working Group, and  serves as an Advisor and Board Member to several small businesses. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, creating furniture out of wood, and spending time outdoors with his wife and four children.
