In 2022, we offered a helpful tip every month, to help you up your    game when it comes to spoken English. This year, we're putting our  best tip to test! We think it's a solid idea! Especially if you're holed  up  somewhere, this is a fantastic film to watch and script to read along!

Some key phrases 關鍵短語 from today's session:

  • "Oh great, this is just great" - sounds like a good thing, but in the context of the film, it is sarcasm...聽起來是好事，但放到電影的語境裡，就是諷刺了!
  • can't top that - 比不過
  • Shush = 噓 = 閉嘴，別說話!
  • Don't you shush me! = 你別噓我!
  • Head honcho = 老大 = the big boss = the big cheese
  • The big cheese 不是「大奶酪」! It's the big boss, 大老闆!

    • 《馬達加斯加》是2005年電腦動畫喜劇電影，也是系列首部電影，由湯姆·麥葛瑞斯和埃里克·達奈爾執導。電影講述中央公園動物園的四隻動物：牠們本來過著舒適的圈養生活，但在一次意外中漂流到馬達加斯加島上。
