当然。我认为微笑是女孩子最好的化妆品。我奶奶老是说，脸上常有笑，好运跑不了。因为微笑让别人想靠近你，也没有人会对一张笑脸发火。

Absolutely. I believe smile is the best makeup for a girl. And as my grandmother put it, good luck goes to those who always wear smiles on their faces, because smiling makes people want to be near you and nobody will be angry with a smiling person.


When do people smile at others? 人们什么时候对别人微笑？

我能想到两种情况。首先，人们在第一次见面时微笑，以表示他们很友好，想留下一个良好的第一印象。没有人愿意和一个苦脸的陌生人说话。其次，人们在对别人说谢谢的时候经常微笑。这让他们的感谢更加真诚。

I can think of two situations. First, people smile when they meet somebody for the first time, just to show that they’re friendly and want to leave a good first impression. Nobody wants to talk with a stranger who has a sullen face. Second, people often smile when they say thank you to others. It makes their thanks more genuine.
