Welcome to the Page to Screen edition of the Yadkin County Public Library Podcast, where each month, we’ll be discussing a book that has been turned into a movie or TV series, as well as the reception of each. This month we'll be discussing Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood, which was first published in 1996. The book has since won the Canadian Giller Prize and was shortlisted for the Booker Prize as well. The novel has also been nominated for the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Awards Best Novel award, a Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction Best Book award, and a Women's Prize For Fiction Best Novel award. In 2017, the novel was adapted for the big screen as a CBC Television miniseries of the same name, Alias Grace.
