Today I'm chatting with Emma Rose Cohen, CEO of Final Straw. Emma is a Harvard graduate who has been working in Sustainability for the last 6 years. She and her team are passionate about changing the single-use plastic game one straw at a time. She is a pioneer in the zero-waste movement, influencing the consumer to reach for alternatives that are sexy, reusable, smart and fun and in so doing, a community is coming together that is connected to a mission that promotes living in a less wasteful way.
A mission with a product, Final Straw is changing behaviour on the consumer level. Emma's approach to business in uncharted territory will inspire those trying to launch their business into reality, especially when it goes against the grain and involves changing behaviour through imagination. Emma has taken a lot of risks, she is no stranger to adventure in nature-based sports as well as in her business and this past October she had her partner, Miles Pepper took their ocean dream to land facing The Sharks on the series Sharks Tank, you'll find out what the BTS of that experience was and the important takeaways that Emma walked away with, that you can learn from.
This episode is for you:
If you're active in eliminating single-use plastics
You are looking for ways to align with your purpose using the lunar cycle
You're an entrepreneur with a dream looking for tips on blazing uncharted territory
You want to know what Mermaids are like.
