Do You Believe in Ghosts?

W: I'm glad to meet you. I'm Amy.

M: And I'm Satoru.

W: Hey, did you hear that music in the dormitory last night?

M: Yeah, someone was playing their flute or something, weren't they?

W: That's what it sounded like. But if you listened closely, you could have heard a really eerie voice singing along with it!

M: That's cool. Someone must have been practising for a performance.

W: Well, I heard a rumour the other day, that when the dormitory was first built there was a young girl who was supposedly good at music, and everyone living in the building could hear her practising. One day, there was a big competition held for her age group. Everyone had her picked as the winner, but she never showed up!

M: You're not going to tell me her ghost lives in the building, are you?

W: Her disappearance was investigated as "a missing persons case," but she never showed up!

M: Ooo… mysterious.

W: Until… her flute and sheet music suddenly appeared… on the grass, under the tree where she used to practise!

M: Oh, I bet that didn't actually happen.

W: The flute and sheet music were found exactly one year after she disappeared… on that exact day!

M: OK, if someone DID decide to come back and haunt somewhere, would they really be that focused on dates? Can a ghost even tell the time? If YOU were a ghost, would you haunt me? I don't believe in ghosts!

W: Ha ha, yeah… Oh, I dropped my pen. Can you pick it up for me?

M: OK, but it slid way under this desk… Hang on a second. Ah, it's hard to get to… Ah, I got it. Here you are!... Ah…Where are you? Um. Where did she go?

(Distant ghostly laughing sound)
